Information about medieval irish houses seems to be thin on the ground, particularly about poor rural dwellings. Town houses seem to be more like the mainland but lagging behind.
Does anyone have any sources? The Belfast or folk and transport museums might have something but it is ages since I have been to either.
My best guess is a low, stone built thatched house with people at one end and beasts at the other, a model used by a lot of old but much more recent farm houses as well, so it might be better suited to 1798 and Henry Joy McCracken or rather James Orr to make it closer to home.
